Both sides needed points on a horrid night for cricket and both teams showed the sprit of the league and cricket and managed to get the game played. Abington need to win to be League champions and Helions needed at least 6 points to avoid relegation and as it turned out all parties were happy.
Batting first Helions posted a decent total in 16 overs with Calum Lewis 28 and Anthony Phillips 38.
Abington had a major setback with the loss of a wicket first ball but the second wicket fell on 50 as they recovered well. Ollie Barnes saw the side home with a boundary to win the title and reach his half century. Helions took four wickets to secure enough bonus points to stay in division 1.
